Marco
Chingari Baritone
.
.

The Italian, Roman born Marco Chingari is one of the leading interpreters of the Italian and French repertoire. After winning several competitions like the "Voci Verdiane" for instance, he made his stage debut at the age of 23 as Carlo di Vargas in Verdi's "La forza del destino", in Busseto. Shortly after he made his debut in almost all big Italian theatres, amongst which Rome, Bologna, Genova, Turin, Florence, Venice, Naples, Catania and Trieste. International guest appearances took him to New York's Carnegie Hall, the opera house in Zürich, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, as well as Rio de Janeiro and Hong Kong, amongst others. Thanks to his soft, dark voice, strong stage presence and authority, Marco Chingari is particularly well known as a first class interpreter of Verdi's and Puccini's leading baritone roles such as Rigoletto, Macbeth, Iago, Falstaff, Scarpia or Jack Rance and thus continues the great tradition of leading Italian baritones. He also appears in belcanto roles, such as Guillaume Tell or Enrico in "Lucia di Lammermoor" and has performed the more rare repertoire like Catalani's "Edmea", Giordano's "Siberia" and Mascagni's "Il piccolo Marat" as well.
