Silvana Sintow-Behrens was born in Sofia, Bulgaria. Owing to the career of her mother, the soprano Anna Tomowa-Sintow, she grew up first in Germany and later attended schools in a number of large cities in Europe and America. She speaks seven languages fluently and was thus able to acquire experiences in the entire musical world at a very early age. After studying theater arts and musicology in Munich, she settled in England, where for three years she took acting lessons and graduated from "London Theatre School" and subsequently appeared in a number of productions (including performances in London and during the Edinburgh festival of Terence Rattigan's "Before Dawn" together with Christopher Chaplin). She then accepted an offer from the record company BMG Classics in London to become their PR manager for the UK. Shortly after that the French record company Erato Disques asked her to move to Paris to become "Director of International Promotions and Artist Development". In this capacity she was not only responsible for the coordination of the company's international recording projects, but also started her collaboration with the conductor Daniel Barenboim. She served as his personal PR manager for eight years, first at Erato and then for Teldec Classics in Berlin, where she relocated in 1995. During this entire time, Silvana Sintow-Behrens was also responsible for the planning and coordination of recording projects with Barenboim and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic and the Staatskapelle Berlin. She founded her own agency for PR and Artist's Management - Sintow-Behrens International Promotions - in 1997 and relocated to Munich in 2000. She is active as artistic advisor to the Athens Concert Hall / Megaron since 1999.
